Will Ken ‘N’ Eddies banger match up to a classic Kennedy’s?

A SAUSAGE maker claims he has hit upon the perfect recipe – even bragging his banger can match a classic Kennedy’s for taste.

Ron Etheridge is boss of Villagers Sausages in Beckenham and believes he has unlocked the meaty mystery to the cult Kennedy’s sausage.

The world famous Kennedy’s butcher chain was run by the same family for 130 years.

It had nine stores across south-east London before it closed its doors for the final time in 2007.

A Villagers Sausages insider said: “Ron has devoted the last six months analysing the ingredients of Kennedy’s sausage mix from a batch given to him by one of his customers.

“By experimenting with a range of herbs and seasoning Ron has perfected the taste and texture.”

The new Ken ‘N’ Eddies sausage will be officially unveiled to the public at Ron’s shop in Beckenham High Street from noon on November 2.

The launch coincides with National Sausage Week.

  1. I would like to know if you are making scotch eggs like kennedys use to make! I would love to purchase some from you if you make them. Could you let me know how much the postage is on your produce?
