Sausage Festival and black tie dinner to show off the region

The Framlingham SausageFest event on October 12, involving a day of fair-like fun and sausage tasting in the town, will be followed by a three-course dinner for businesses and food lovers from across the region at Glemham Hall, near Saxmundham.

During the evening, the 12 regional sausage-producers taking part in the tastings will learn which one has won the most votes for the best banger during the day, one of the judges being Stephen ‘Sausage King’ Plume, of Brockdish, although as well as celebrating local food, the event is also aimed at bringing visitors to the region, and highlighting Framlingham as a tourist spot.

The event will include a sausage trail, cookery demonstrations, local traders selling their wares in the market, a magician, and an escapologist.

Jenny Stockman, an organiser, said: “The sausage trail and dinner are organised by the community for the community, and they are well worth it.” To book tickets or tables at the SausageFest Awards Night at Glemham Hall, visit the Framlingham SausageFest website, www.framsausagefest.co.uk, or call Jenny on 01728 726500.
