In this section you will find lots of useful resources which will help with your sausage enjoyment!

Shops – Over the past eight or so years I have been gathering together a database of recommended UK sausage makers.  These have been suggested to me by visitors to the website so please get in touch if you would like to add me to add any sausage makers to the list.

Recipes – I have been gathering together the very best sausage recipes and over the next few months I will be trying out each recipe (fortunately my family is very understanding)!  Please let me know if you would like to suggest further recipes.

Links – Gradually I have been building up a collection of links to the best sausage websites.  If there are links I am missing please get in touch.

Courses – There seems to be a growing demand for sausage making courses.  In this section I have been putting together information about some of the best sausage making courses in the county.

Books – There are some really comprehensive sausage related books available.  Both from a historic and recipe perspective there is something for everyone’s taste.

Cooking tips – In the cooking tips section I am developing a list of the best cooking methods for sausages.

  1. Hi. When I lived in Bath, the Bath Sausage Shop made the very best and greatest variety of sausages I’ve come across. Typically 20 on any one day, and all sold out by the afternoon. Sadly, the butcher retired and I left Bath (not connected!) for York. He produced varieties such as Mongolian Firepit, a firm favourite. Friends loved coming over for a Winter bangers and mash dinner with 4 or 5 different tastes.

    I’ve yet to find a similar shop. Maybe you can help.
