A Pudsey butcher is hoping to create a world sausage record and raise cash for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Staff at Bentley’s of Pudsey plan to create the longest unbroken chain of sausage links in the world. “We’ve looked in the Guiness Book of Records and can’t find any reference to record breaking sausage chains,” says Bentley’s owner Steve Martin.
The shop, which been in business for 18 years and employs 11 people, produces around 8,000 sausages a week.
Mr Martin said the ‘Love Chain’ of sausages would raise cash for Martin House hospice in Boston Spa with people sponsoring each individual link for £1.
The chain will be measured on November 6.
