Pie heaven

I am seriously planning a 100+ mile cycle trip to visit De-Lish in Wells-next-the-Sea.  Looking at the route and thinking of the last time I was up on the North Norfolk coast has got me thinking about my visit to the pie heaven that is Brays Cottage.  I was giving the CG125 a run out as I wanted to go undercover in Kings Lynn.  On the way back I cut in at Holt and went to see the magic!  I arrived just in time to see behind the scenes:

How good do these look?  It was so nice to see the quality of the ingredients going into one of the finest pies you will ever taste.  Then when they come out of the oven the smell is just amazing and the anticipation is almost too much while you wait for them to cool!

I was just in time to pose with a copy of Country Life Magazine that features these amazing pies which are available in wedding cake sizes!  Wow! If I had had more space on the bike I might have picked one up!

Imagine a pork pie crossed with a chorizo?  Could it get much better?

Or something a little spicier?

This is pork pie heaven!  As if it couldn’t get any better Sarah is in the process of working her magic on pork scratchings!  Crackle is now available at selected outlets and it is awesome!

I think I might have to get out the extra large panniers and stop for some pie and crackle on the way back from Wells.
