A GREAT British banger has been created to celebrate the Olympic debut of Clitheroe pentathlete Samantha Murray when she goes for gold on Sunday.
“Samantha’s Penthathlon Sausage” has been created by the Clitheroe’s Cowman’s Famous Sausage Shop’ and butchers have used ingredients based on Samantha’s favourite sausages she liked to tuck into while growing up.
And customers are queueing up to buy the unique sausage as they cheer on our Olympic hopeful!
All eyes will be on Samantha this weekend when she becomes one of the final competitors in the games that have gripped the nation for the past two weeks. The 22-year-old is pinning her hopes on winning a medal after she took bronze at the world championships in Rome earlier this year.
