Licensee creates pork and beer sausage

Popular Everards Tiger sausage becomes a fixture on pub menu

A pork and Everards Tiger beer sausage has proved so successful it is now taking pride of place on a pub’s menu.

Licensee Dave Mclean, who runs the Artichoke in Moulton, Northamptonshire, came up with the idea with the help of a local customer, Mike Bower, a farmer who breeds rare pedigree pigs.

The sausages are made using the same process as regular sausages but instead of using water, Everards Tiger beer is added to the mixture instead.

Dave said: “The Everards Tiger sausages started off as a bit of a joke but we’ve found they have been a huge success and our customers love them.”
