The Fifteenth Robin Hood Championship covers six classes, Sausage (three classes), Pie (both pork and speciality) and Savoury Pastie.

All entries are evaluated to a standard by the Judges and certificates are awarded to entries achieving that standard. Perpetual Trophies are also awarded to the product in each class achieving the highest number of points. The ‘Championship’ was held by the above Council at the Newark and Nottinghamshire County Show on Sunday 10th May 2009.

This is a national competition and entrants came from most corners of the UK. The furthest travelers this year were from Gloucester, Suffolk, the North East, Cumbria and not least Northern Ireland.
