A NORTH-EAST butcher has today challenged Simon Cowell to try his specially created strawberry ice-cream sausages.
Bosses at Haigs food shop created the unusual sausages in response to the music mogul’s claim that: “There are certain things that don’t go well together. Like sticking a bowl of strawberry ice-cream with a sausage.”
Simon made the statement on Saturday’s edition of Britain’s Got Talent about a double act who combined opera singing with a didgeridoo.
The pair were quickly ousted by judges, but the comment inspired James Haig, owner of Haigs on Aberdeen’s Schoolhill. Mr Haig, 42, has created a pork and strawberry ice-cream sausage – and tweeted Simon to give it a try.
