A BUTCHERS has been awarded several accolades at this year’s Great Taste Awards.
Gabbotts Farm in Astley achieved gold star awards for their sirloin steak and their traditional pork sausages at the world’s largest and most rigorous food awards competition.
Products are blind tested by 400 specialists including top chefs, cookery writers and food critics who judge the quality of ingredients, texture and appearance.
John Molloy from Gabbotts Farm said: “Congratulations to our butchers for their efforts in producing such fine products worthy of the comments from the judges. To achieve a gold star award in this competition is very prestigious and reflects the hard work they put in every week.”
