Wadworth Brewery is celebrating British sausages in style this week.
Last Friday Wadworth held a sausage competition to find a ‘Perfect Banger’ recipe which they could sell at all the Wadworth managed pubs during British Sausage Week.
Ninety recipes were sent in presenting the judges with a tough decision to whittle down the best from the ‘wurst’. Four recipes were shortlisted for the final.
The winning recipe by Liam Aggett, a student in Cirecester, was a venison sausage with port, mushroom and wild berries. The sausage recipes were made up by Devizes butcher Walter Rose.
